The United Appliance Servicers Association (UASA), a BrandSource service partner, said it is positioned for a new wave of growth, innovation and enhanced member engagement under its newly elected executive team.
Now heading the organization as president is Dave Smith, who brings over 32 years of service industry experience to the post, both as owner of Dave Smith Appliance Services and as UASA vice president since 2014.
Smith succeeds two-time president Lance Kimball, who was honored for his contributions with UASA’s 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Succeeding Smith as vice president is George Dempsey, principal of Preferred Appliance Sales & Repair.

Assuming the role of executive director is Wendy Parker, who joins UASA from the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FlaSEIA), where she held the same title. “Wendy’s wealth of experience, vision for growth and enthusiasm for supporting members will undoubtedly be instrumental in advancing UASA’s mission,” Smith said.
Smith’s own agenda includes strengthening UASA’s membership base, enhancing its ASTI training program to make it “bigger and better than ever” and refining operational processes to provide more streamlined support for members, the trade association said.
Smith is also committed to fostering industry partnerships, expanding training opportunities and ensuring that UASA remains the premier resource for professional development in the appliance service sector, the organization said.
“The United Appliance Servicers Association is entering a new era under the leadership of its new president,” the group added. “His deep industry roots, proven leadership and commitment to the association’s success ensure that UASA will continue to be a driving force in the appliance service industry.”
