Chad talks bedding and BrandSource on an episode of The FAM

Chad Fischer, AVB’s recently appointed director of bedding solutions, wasted little time getting in front of the industry in his new role.
On Feb. 17, he appeared on The FAM, a popular weekly bedding podcast hosted by Mark Kinsley, former president/CEO of Englander Mattress.
During their half-hour chat, Fischer recounted his more than 15-year bedding industry journey, which culminated in his newly created post at BrandSource. He went on to explain why AVB created a dedicated bedding unit and how he plans to elevate it by leveraging the group’s strategic vendor partnerships and state-of-the-art digital marketing division — all in the pursuit of keeping BrandSource members competitive in an evolving market.
Fischer’s best advice to independent mattress dealers: Amid the industry shakeups, stay the course, build strong partnerships and focus on long-term growth, which includes investing in people.
But the podcast wasn’t all business. Kinsley and Fischer also managed to squeeze in some Nebraska trivia involving Chimney Rock and compared corn husking techniques.
