BrandSource partner Malouf has made a major investment in domestic manufacturing by moving all its mattress production to the U.S.
The company, which also sells adjustable bases, headboards, pillows and home textiles, is also working on moving product manufacturing in other key categories to U.S. locations.
CEO Sam Malouf said the change is designed to help build long-term stability for the bedding manufacturer.
“There is still uncertainty surrounding the economy and tariffs this year, but we are getting ahead of it,” Malouf said in a statement. “We have three main pillars we’re tying all our 2025 initiatives to: healthy in-stock percentages, continued innovation and sales, and customer support. This focus on domestic manufacturing benefits every single pillar.”
The move to domestic production will benefit Malouf customers by improving fulfillment, said Jesse Gibbs, vice president of sales.
“We’re so excited about this change,” Gibbs said. “As more of our products shift to U.S. manufacturing, we’ll see shorter lead times, tighter quality checks and overall improvements in timing and consistency.”
It will also help Malouf correct some issues that have dogged the business, Gibbs said.
“We recognize that we’ve struggled to maintain consistent inventory levels, but we’re already starting to see improvements and get key products back in stock,” he said.
The announcement was made just before the opening of the Las Vegas Winter Market, where Malouf featured a host of domestically-made lines including the new Ice Cloud, Polaris and Neve mattresses. The beds will capture customer demand for both U.S.-made products and premium cooling technologies, the company said.
