Maytag’s new grill-mode range comes with a cast iron plate that makes indoor grilling a snap.
New 30-inch range with grill mode makes backyards optional

No backyard? No problem thanks to Maytag, which has introduced a new 30-inch range with grill mode.
The convection-capable oven comes with a reversible cast iron grill plate that delivers the taste of grilled foods and the grill marks to prove it. Consumers can also flip the plate on its griddle side for hibachi-style cooking atop the range’s two-element griddle zone.
Maytag said the indoor grilling solution addresses consumers’ desire to prepare grilled meals at home during inclement winter weather, and to host indoor gatherings like “homegating,” the indoor equivalent of tailgating, amid the higher cost of attending events.

“We are excited to introduce the new grill mode feature into our Maytag range, giving consumers the ease and opportunity to grill year-round, regardless of season, space or skill,” said Gerrod Moore, integrated brand manager, Maytag kitchen. “This new innovation … furthers our mission to help people do more in the kitchen with less time and effort.”
The range comes in a fingerprint resistant stainless-steel finish and, in addition to the cast-iron grill plate, includes such features as:
- No-Preheat Air Fry: Eliminates the preheat process and cooks air fried foods fast, delivering crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside results using little to no additional oil.
- Air-Powered Cooking Cycles: Includes Air Baking, Air Roast, Air Broil and Air Reheat using a powerful third heating element that circulates air throughout the oven cavity for consistent results.
- Precision Cooking System: Uses sensor heating to monitor temperatures within the 5-cubic-foot oven cavity to help ensure each meal is cooked evenly.
- Smart Features: Controls and monitors the range from smart devices using Wi-Fi connectivity.
The grill-mode range presently sells for $1,048 on Maytag.com/kitchen.
In addition to grilling solutions, Maytag also introduced a 30-inch range with steam clean engineered to streamline cleanup routines, and a 30-inch range with No Preheat Air Fry and Air Baking, equipped to handle kitchen tasks with ease while freeing up valuable counter space, the Whirlpool unit said.
