AVB has four $5,000 scholarships to award

It’s that time of year again when AVB is on the lookout for aspiring college or trade school students.
That’s because the group’s annual AVB Scholarship Awards program is in full swing and accepting applications for the 2025 school year. Once again, four deserving children, grandchildren or spouses of BrandSource members or member employees will receive a $5,000 award to help defray the cost of higher education, courtesy of AVB.
To be considered, applicants must complete a form, available here; submit a short essay on the greatest challenge facing their generation; and post a one-minute video in which the student reflects on whether large corporations hinder small businesses.
In addition to the essay and video clip, applicants will be evaluated by their grade point average (GPA), any awards received and their extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities.
To qualify, applicants must either attend a college, trade school or tech program, or plan to attend one next fall.
The deadline for applications is Dec. 31, 2024, so get out those pens and selfie sticks, and best of luck to all the contenders!
