This fall’s devasting hurricanes, Helene and Milton, hit especially close to home for BrandSource vendor partner Ashley Furniture Industries, which maintains facilities in hard-hit Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
To assist impacted employees and their communities, the company is donating and transporting emergency essentials, along with furniture and 1,300 mattresses, in partnership with relief agencies and Ashley licensees and dealers.

“Our hearts are truly broken for our employees and all the families impacted by these devastating hurricanes,” said Todd Wanek, president/CEO of the Tampa, Fla.-based business. “The emotions and challenges faced in the aftermath of these disasters are beyond words. We stand committed to providing relief and support to those in need in the places we call home.”
Leveraging the extensive logistical capabilities of Ashley Distribution Services, the vendor is working with various non-profits to store and deliver critical aid items such as food, water and personal hygiene products. In addition, Ashley facilities in multiple states including North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, California, Washington and Florida have organized local supply drives. Along with community support, the efforts have yielded substantial contributions of essential items, Ashley said, demonstrating “the profound strength and unity that arise from collective resilience.”

Ashley’s corporate retail stores in Florida and Georgia are also supporting recovery efforts by providing ongoing special offers to storm victims.

The company said it extends its “deep and heartfelt gratitude” to all the organizations that responded to the devastation by “bringing comfort and aid to those affected by the storms.”
