Catherine Grayson-Roper will shape Miele’s voice in the U.S. and Mexico

BrandSource premium appliance partner Miele USA has named home furnishings veteran Catherine Grayson-Roper as vice president of marketing for the U.S. and Mexico.
Grayon-Roper joins Miele from MillerKnoll, the luxury home furnishings vendor, where she developed and executed marketing programs for the company’s Herman Miller, Knoll and Design within Reach brands.
In her new role at Miele, she will oversee and direct the manufacturer’s consumer marketing function, including advertising, market research and category management, as well as internal and external communications.
She reports to Søren Rye, president/CEO of Miele USA and Mexico.
“I am confident that Catherine’s extensive background in marketing to both B2B and B2C audiences will escalate our brand to the next level by engaging our current consumers as well as the next generation,” he said.

Prior to MillerKnoll, Grayson-Roper led marketing for such major brands such as Delta Faucet, Bed Bath & Beyond and Johnson & Johnson.
Family-owned Miele was founded in Herzebrock, Germany in 1899 as a maker of cream separation equipment, and today sells its “timelessly elegant” kitchen, laundry and floor care products in 50 countries. It is scheduled to open its first U.S. manufacturing plant by year’s end in Opelika, Ala.
