BrandSource vendor partner Charleston Forge has acquired case goods manufacturer MacKenzie-Dow.
The North Carolina-based Charleston Forge manufactures a wide range of high-end home furnishings, from bar stools and credenzas to mirrors and beds. MacKenzie-Dow, based in West Virginia, will move its production to its new owner’s woodworking facility in Morgantown, N.C.
“We are excited about this merger of two respected companies in our industry and look forward to working with you as we develop new offerings,” said Charleston Forge president Dan Minor, as reported in Furniture Today. “We introduced a limited selection of MacKenzie-Dow products at the April 2024 market in High Point, including pieces featured as part of our new Hemingway For The Home Collection. We have added these products to our catalog and price list and plan to have a significant introduction at this fall’s High Point Market.”
Charleston Forge started expanding its product line last years, with a foray into the kitchen and bath market with a new line of luxury vanities.
The company was founded in 1974 as a retail store and evolved into a manufacturer a decade later. Its clients include such high-profile businesses as Starbucks, Restoration Hardware and Bloomingdale’s.
