CMO John White announces the new Alta Pro and Alta Pro+ websites, which will provide curated assortments for commercial customers. 

New pro-channel websites assist members’ builder, contractor and building management clients

AVB Marketing has developed dedicated websites to help members serve their pro-channel accounts. 

According to AVB CMO John White, the vast majority of BrandSource dealers also work with home builders, contractors and/or building management firms, often providing unique and uniquely priced products for new construction, home remodels and apartment complexes. Representing the members’ version of business-to-business (B2B) sales, this segment is presently outpacing the consumer sector in growth, he said, and conducts about a quarter of its transactions online. 

Custom Catalogs 

To help accommodate members and their commercial clients, the new Alta Pro and Alta Pro+ websites will allow dealers to create curated assortments specific to the projects or properties of builders, contractors or building managers, which they can then access with a passcode. Once there, pro customers can canvass their customized catalog, add items to the cart, have them billed to their account and schedule delivery without interacting with a salesperson. 

The advantage of this, White explained, is that not unlike consumer sites, purchase decisions are often made in the early morning hours, long before stores open and sales staff arrive for business.
