Tulsa, Okla. retailer honored during BrandSource Convention

Since its founding in 1994, Appliance Solutions has distinguished itself not only for being a stellar example of independent retail, but also for its care for its community.
The Tulsa, Okla. business was named the 2024 BrandSource Dealer of the Year for the Southwest Region at the BrandSource National Convention in Dallas. Owners Bob Martin and Matt Long were honored at the buying group’s awards ceremony, which was a highlight of the annual show.
Appliance Solutions was established in 1994 as a Maytag Heritage dealer. Founder Dave Bauer teamed up with Martin in 2001, and over the next decade the business added more locations. In 2012, the pair expanded the product line and rebranded the business as Appliance Solutions.
Eye on the Prize
After Bauer retired in 2021, Long, a longtime sales manager, purchased his ownership share. Since then, a top priority for the new partners has been consolidating to a single location, with the No. 1 goal of providing a five-star experience for every customer every time.
Appliance Solutions is also committed to helping its community, and works with many organizations such as the Victory Christian Church’s Shine Women. The store’s employees also pitched in after the 2012 wildfires in Mannford, buying appliances for a devastated family with money they’d collected for an employee event.
Appliance Solutions has been a BrandSource member since 2020.
The BrandSource Dealer of the Year awards are presented annually to members who have demonstrated a continued commitment to excellence in the retail industry and to their fellow BrandSource dealers. The winners, who are selected by the members within each of the group’s 14 regions, also show their support of BrandSource and its vendor partners by attending regional meetings and national events such as the annual Convention and Summit.
