The longevity of Luecke Audio Video Appliances of Seymour, Ind., is directly related to the ingenuity and adaptability of the founder’s descendants.
Robert Luecke opened the business in 1952, repairing televisions in his garage. Since then, the company has expanded in both size and assortment, adding second- and third-generation family members to the team, and appliances, home theater and custom integration services to the lineup.
Luecke Audio Video Appliances was named the BrandSource Dealer of the Year for the Mid-America Region during the 2024 national Convention in Dallas.

Joan Luecke Nichols and her nephew Daniel Luecke, who now co-own the family business, were honored during the event. Together, they have built up the business even further with the addition of home network and security systems.
Besides loyally serving Seymour customers for two generations, Nichols attributes the business’s success to its membership in BrandSource.
“Being part of AVB BrandSource has opened access to many necessary things that would be much harder without a buying group,” she said. “(Things) such as an amazing website that gets compliments on all the time and digital tags, as well as a major buying power to provide great deals. I don’t see us leaving BrandSource. We appreciate everything AVB and BrandSource have provided and look forward to working with them in the future.”
The BrandSource Dealer of the Year awards are presented annually to members like Luecke Audio Video Appliances that have demonstrated a continued commitment to excellence in the retail industry and to their fellow BrandSource dealers. The winners, who are selected by the members within each of the group’s 14 regions, must also show their support of BrandSource and its vendor partners by attending regional meetings and national events such as the annual Convention and Summit.
