Former VP of marketing Joel Dewberry promoted to chief marketing officer

Malouf’s VP of marketing has been named the company’s chief marketing officer.
Joel Dewberry, who comes to the role with 24 years of experience in consumer goods and 13 years leading director-to-consumer and e-commerce performance, said he has big plans for the furniture and bedding company.
“I’m so excited for the growth and potential I see for Malouf,” Dewberry said in a statement. “Over the past two years, we’ve taken major strides in the marketing space, with our first national commercial and tightened focus on the customer journey. I’m stepping into this new role with a big vision for Malouf as a household name.”

Dewberry’s experience ties together marketing, technology and brand activations, creating strategies for connecting with the market. He was an early adopter of progressive marketing techniques like data science and predictive modeling, and he leads Malouf’s award-winning creative experts and marketing professionals in their development of engaging and effective strategies.
His promotion was announced in advance of this week’s Summer Las Vegas Market.

CEO and co-founder Sam Malouf said Dewberry’s skills are a perfect fit for the Utah-based business, which offers furniture, mattresses, adjustable bed bases, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, bed frames and mattress toppers.
“Increasing brand recognition and consumer desire for our products is a big goal for the company,” he said. “We want customers coming into our retail partners’ stores excited and looking for Malouf products. There’s no better person to lead that than Joel Dewberry.”
