Training Camp’s back in session this fall
By Paul MacDonald, ServiceSource
Camp will be back in session for BrandSource service technicians Oct. 7-10, when AVB holds its second-ever ServiceSource Factory Technical Training Camp.

Unlike your typical summer camp, the ServiceSource Training Camp will improve technicians’ diagnostic and customer service skills while providing opportunities to network with other technicians. This acclaimed service training event is coming to BrandSource-only servicing members and AVB affiliates. You asked for it, and BrandSource delivered it.

Once again, exclusive hands-on factory training for technicians will be available to members of BrandSource and AVB affiliates. During the three-day event, to be held at the headquarters the New England Appliance Group (NEAG) in Franklin, Mass., vendor partners GE Appliances, Speed Queen, Whirlpool, Samsung and LG will provide hands-on factory training for members’ servicing dealer technicians.
First-Call Successs
Add technician soft skills training from Scott Brown of Master Samurai Tech Academy, and you’ve got an industry-leading, high-quality, focused training event. Scott’s course is the perfect opportunity to develop your people skills and learn our repeatable process for ensuring successful repairs, often on the first call. Learn how to wow your customers and turn them into cheerleaders for your business!
The ServiceSource Training Camp is not for new technicians learning the trade. That’s what Master Samurai Tech Academy and Fred’s Appliance Academy are for. No, this training camp is for seasoned technicians to update their skills on brand nuances. At next month’s Training Camp, manufacturers will cover the latest bulletins covering known product issues and their fixes.
What’s more, technicians will return to their companies with newfound knowledge of specific models and procedural updates from each manufacturer, and can share the learnings with their colleagues back home.
Unique to the Industry
The ServiceSource Camp differs from the UASA’s ASTI event and PSA’s annual Convention in that those gatherings target the owner/operators of independent service companies with business management sessions, product trade shows and limited technical training from manufacturers.
Due to the hands-on nature of the training, the ServiceSource Camp will be limited to the first 50 technicians to register. A registration fee of $999 includes all meals, hotel accommodations and daily transfers to and from the training facility. (Attendees will only be responsible for transportation to and from NEAG’s headquarters in Franklin, Mass.)
Don’t miss this unique and invaluable opportunity!
