New Kathmandu HomeStore is the first in Nepal

Ashley Furniture HomeStore has opened its first location in Nepal.

The 4,900-square-foot Kathmandu store debuted last month with a grand opening and ribbon cutting by licensee S.N. Joshi & Sons. This is the first Ashley Furniture HomeStore opening for S.N. Joshi & Sons and marks the first HomeStore to open in the country of Nepal.

The Kathmandu store will employ approximately 15 people. Ashley FurnitureHomeStore, one of the world’s best-selling home furnishing brands, has more than 1,125 locations worldwide.

Raising the Standards

“Ashley is known for its quality and wide range of products, raising the standards for other furniture stores in the country,” said Sudarshan Narayan Joshi, chairman S.N. Joshi & Son Co. Pvt. Ltd. “With a reputable brand like Ashley entering the market, consumers have more options and better access to stylish and durable furniture.”

The store features 25 room settings with details such as lighting, floor coverings and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses and accessories.
