Joins Dealerscope’s ‘Powerful Women in CT’

Sherry Dantonio, VP of education/member recruitment at ProSource and a beloved member of the group’s leadership team, has won a “2023 Powerful Women in Consumer Tech Award” from Dealerscope magazine.
The accolade acknowledges the contributions of women to the progress and improvement of the consumer technology industry. Dantonio, one of a dozen honorees, was selected for leading, rallying and mentoring ProSource’s custom install and specialty A/V members and helping to advance the CT business.
A former buyer at Seattle’s Definitive Audio, Dantonio began her buying group career at BrandSource, where she spent more than 11 years with Home Entertainment Source (HES), the CE division led by current AVB CEO Jim Ristow.
She later joined ProSource, an AVB affiliate, as director of membership, and eventually added education to her responsibilities. In that latter role, Dantonio launched ProSource University in 2020, ProSource Academy in 2021 and ProSource Project Management Bootcamp this past June.
Outside of work, Seattle-based Dantonio enjoys spending time with family and friends, creating art and sailing, camping and hiking.
“Sherry is an incredible asset to the industry, to the ProSource membership and to the team,” said ProSource CEO Jim Pearse. “She has worked with the leadership of hundreds of the best custom integration businesses to leverage ProSource’s benefits and grow into profitable success stories.
