Will feature outdoor ovens, grills and furniture

Taking a cue from QVC, Best Buy is hosting a series of live online shopping shows this month, including an installment on outdoor appliances.

The three-part program, which kicked off on Wednesday, is webcast on TalkShopLive, a real-time shopping platform. Pitching an array of holiday gift ideas are members of Best Buy’s Blue Shirts virtual sales team, who assist customers via video, audio and chat. The “virtual sales experts” will demo products, talk up the benefits of each item and offer select, limited-time deals, the retailer said.

Viewers can purchase showcased products by clicking a “buy” button in the webcast, and one lucky shopper will have a chance to win a $200 Best Buy gift card during each show.

The outdoor product segment, which shares airtime with e-bikes and other electronic transportation, will feature the Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven along with other selections from Best Buy’s expanded assortment of outdoor ovens, grills, furniture and accessories. It begins on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. CST.

Best Buy timed its shopping shows to “Black November,” the month-long holiday selling cycle that culminates in Black Friday weekend, the busiest shopping period on the retail calendar.

“This is the time of year we get to help shoppers create magical moments and stand out with the perfect gift,” said Jennie Weber, Best Buy’s chief marketing officer. “As more shoppers seek out live online shopping experiences, we’re excited to be there for them this season.”
