Shawn Slattery is heading Serta’s Eastern region sales

Bedding industry veteran Shawn Slattery is making a return to the brand he’s sold for more than 23 years.
Slattery has been named senior vice president of Eastern region sales for Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB), reporting directly to Dominick Azevedo, the company’s chief sales officer.
Slattery spent nearly a quarter of a century in sales at Simmons Bedding Co. and Serta Simmons Bedding, where he helped build the sales infrastructure. He ultimately managed and led sales operations for the Eastern region, and worked closely with his team to develop many successful retailer programs. Slattery was also closely involved in the development and successful launches of the No Flip mattress and Beautyrest Black product line.

Following his first stint at SSB, Slattery moved into the furniture space by joining Peak Living as executive vice president of sales. He most recently served as vice president of national accounts for Resident Home, where he was responsible for retail sales across the U.S. and Canada.
“Shawn is a leader in the industry and drove big success in his previous time at our organization,” Azevedo said in a statement. “I’m excited for him to hit the ground running, motivating our team, connecting with our retail partners and igniting our sales.”
Slattery’s Western region counterpart is Senior Vice President Erik Brandt, who also reports to Azevedo.
