New Profile fridge features dual-dispense autofill pitcher

GE Appliances (GEA) has begun shipping a new four-door French door refrigerator under the GE Profile badge that features a dual-dispense autofill pitcher.
The pitcher can hold up to 60 ounces of filtered water and automatically refills itself when placed on a dock inside the fridge. Users can simultaneously dispense water into a cup or bottle by accessing a spout beneath the pitcher’s handle, and can use the dishwasher safe, BPA-free pitcher to serve family, friends and guests.
The absence of an exterior water dispenser gives the fridge a sleek, clean look, which should appeal to the more than 44% of consumers who, when purchasing a refrigerator last year with three or more doors, opted for a model with no external dispenser, GEA said, citing statistics from the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM).
“We’re excited to introduce this new refrigerator and give owners a more seamless experience from the inside, out,” said Jason May, executive product director of French-door refrigeration at GEA. “The exterior of the refrigerator presents a sleek, clean aesthetic while the inside offers the convenience of two dispensing options without sacrificing shelf space.”
The standard-depth refrigerator provides 28.7 cubic feet of storage and also features:
- an LED light wall for enhanced illumination
- an adjustable temperature drawer equipped with four settings;
- soft close drawers
- dual evaporators
- a removable bin caddy
- on-board Wi-Fi, powered by GEA’s full-function SmartHQ app
Available in fingerprint-resistant stainless, the GE Profile four-door French door refrigerator with dual-dispense autofill pitcher carries a suggested retail price of $3,999 and is shipping now to retailers across the country.
A similar model under the CAFÉ brand is already available at retail for a suggested retail price of $4,399, and the company said it will continue to roll out additional models with the dual-dispense autofill pitcher under both badges later this year and into early 2024.
