Prizes and giveaways abound at Las Vegas show

Although some of those who attended Summit 2023 may have lost a few bucks on the casino floor, there were plenty of others who went home big winners.
This week’s show was jam-packed with sweepstakes, prizes, contests and giveaways by exhibitors as well as AVB. Let’s take a look at a few who drew the winning hands at the Las Vegas event.
First up was the BrandSource Check-In Challenge, where the two prize winners were Robert Young of Young Appliance and Kathy Zilge of Zilge’s Appliance, who each won tickets to a Vegas show courtesy of Beko and Whirlpool.
Mattress maker Serta Simmons gave away over $35,000 in prizes.
Four $5,000 AVB Marketing/SSB advertising Campaigns ($20,000 total) were won by Collin Cook of Blacker Home Furnishings, Karina Cole of Cole’s Appliance, Preston Bishoff of Knowles Home Furnishings, and Mark Kincaid of Kincaid Service.
Also winning a Serta mattress was Kayla Shepard of L&L Furniture Company, and Michael Gillman of Living Goods won a Beautyrest mattress of choice.
Jerry Thomas of Boulevard Home won the SSB grand prize vacation, where he will get to choose between diving with sharks, Costa Rica, Napa Valley and a tropical Cruise.
Tempur Sealy gave away a mattress of choice to Dorothy Morrissey of Morrissey Refrigeration.
Whirlpool joined the party by offering the “Fully Loaded Gladiator Garage,” valued at over $15,000. Sandra Quick of Wayne’s Appliance & Mattress .
Electrolux winners of $500 cash included Jovaun Parker of Samaritan Appliance, Karina Cole of Cole’s Appliance, and Don Idler of Idler’s Appliance. The $1,500 winner was Neil Boff of Warner Supply. The winner of the $2,500 grand prize was Jake Heydlauff of Heydlauff’s Inc.
