Will stress member/vendor collaboration at show

Next month’s 2023 Summit in Las Vegas will bring together BrandSource dealers, regions and staff, as well as AVB’s Canadian (Mega Group), Northeastern (NEAG and Intercounty) and consumer tech (ProSource) affiliates.
The latter, the largest specialty and consumer-electronics merchandising group in the country, plans to leverage Summit’s overarching theme of “Plug In” to encourage member participation in all that ProSource offers, including education, marketing services and vendor collaboration. And, based on member feedback and a review of prior years’ events, the group is changing up its show format to better support that goal.
“We have built an agenda and program that emphasizes collaboration and sharing of ideas … [and] have designed the meeting space … to connect members and vendors together,” ProSource President Jim Pearse. Specifically, rather than holding meetings and presentations in multiple places, all ProSource Summit activities will transpire in one central location within the Caesar’s Forum Convention Center. “I can assure you this will make it much easier to connect and learn,” he said.
In addition, ProSource has secured “a great vendor roster” and commitments from tech industry leaders, who together will be an integral part of the education sessions and evening activities, Pearse noted. “This will provide the membership with the opportunity to build great relationships with our vendor partners,” he said.
Among the aforementioned education sessions is “The Future of the CI Channel,” an interactive panel hosted by CE Pro chief editor Jason Knott and featuring Savant President JC Murphy; SnapOne CEO John Heyman; Paul Williams, chief product officer, Nice North America; and Shawn Hansson, founder/CEO of Logic Integration.
Also on tap is “Tips & Tricks for Running a Successful Lighting Fixture Business” with Patrick Laidlaw, director of business development-integration at AiSPIRE by WAC Lighting, and “The Luxury Sales Approach,” presented by Jesse Coyer, a trainer and national sales account manager with Harman Luxury Audio and Dave Chace, president of Cogent360.
The show runs Sunday, March 19 through Wednesday, March 22 and, for ProSource members, kicks off Sunday evening with Pearse’s “State of the Business” presentation and an outdoor welcome reception. For a complete ProSource agenda and registration information, click here.
