BrandSource home furnishings partner Malouf Home is stepping up its campaign to combat child sexual exploitation.

The company, through its Malouf Foundation initiative, is encouraging retailers to participate in National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a State Department-led education and deterrence effort held each January.

Retailers can get involved by supporting several Malouf Foundation programs, including OnWatch Training, a free digital service that teaches how to spot, report and prevent sex trafficking in the U.S. The company has also co-developed Raise, a free parenting app to help guide kids past potential online dangers.

The Foundation also accepts donations through its website and the mail. Funds received during January will support anti-trafficking efforts through the OnWatch program, with a portion going toward national restorative care efforts for survivors.

“We’re grateful to have an amazing network of retail partners who care deeply about this cause and continue to show their support,” said Kacie Malouf, co-founder and board chair of the Malouf Foundation. “Business leaders have a huge influence on their communities and play a key role in the fight against sex trafficking and exploitation. We hope their passion and commitment will grow this month and throughout the year.”
