ProSource Adds One, Promotes Three

BrandSource’s A/V affiliate updates its organizational chart

ProSource, the country’s largest specialty audio/video merchandising group, has implemented changes to its management team.

Joining the organization as business development VP is audio industry veteran Jim Kozicki, a former Abt Electronics GM and sales manager at Klipsch and Bowers & Wilkins, where he worked alongside ProSource. In his new role, Kozicki is responsible for “delivering strong vendor programs for members,” the group said.

“Jim Kozicki is a trusted industry veteran who has balanced leadership experience in both retail and the vendor channel,” said ProSource president Jim Pearse. “Serving at Abt Electronics for 17 years, Jim understands the dynamics of retail, custom integration and e-commerce. His deep understanding of the requirements to deliver win-win programs for both the members and our vendor partners will serve him well in his new role.”

 In addition, ProSource has promoted Sherry Dantonio from senior director to VP of education & member recruitmentTim Bashford from senior sales director to senior sales director overseeing ProSource’s largest Power-level members ($5 million-plus in annual revenue); and Frank Marengo from district manager to sales directoroverseeing the group’s Custom Integration (CI) contingent.

Dantonio has held various roles at ProSource, including senior director of education & member recruitment for the last two years, membership director for the prior six years, and before that spent over 11 years at BrandSource’s former CE unit, Home Entertainment Source (HES). She also launched ProSource University in 2020 and ProSource Academy in 2021.

 “Sherry has a strong track record of attracting the best retail and CI companies into the ProSource family,” Pearse said. “In addition, under her leadership ProSource University has grown to over 3,500 users across the country. Congratulations Sherry!” 

Tim Bashford

Bashford is a 15-year veteran of ProSource and has spent the last seven as field management director and senior sales director. In his new role with the Power wing, he is responsible for “strengthening vendor relationships, expanding engagement with ProSource education programs and promoting collaboration between members,” the group said. 

“It is clear this important segment of our membership requires dedicated leadership to ensure that we are working to serve their specific needs,” Pearse said. “With over 17 years of experience at ProSource and BrandSource, [Tim] is a perfect leader to develop and grow our merchandising, education and services to support this exciting growth channel.”   

For the past two years Marengo has served as the ProSource district manager for the Southeast, and before that forged a track record in the loudspeaker business at Klipsch and Dynaudio, holding positions in direct account management and sales management. In his new role he will oversee the district manager team and will also be responsible for over 45 ProSource members in the Northeast Central area.
