Newcomers add $27M in group revenue

ProSource continued to expand its ranks last quarter with the addition of seven new custom integrator-level members.
The CI businesses will contribute more than $27 million to ProSource sell-through, bringing added revenue from new recruits to over $60 million year to date.
In a statement, Jim Pearse, president of BrandSource’s consumer tech cousin, welcomed the new additions. “The ProSource family is happy to have you,” Pearse wrote. “We are excited to serve your team … Our sole purpose is to help you grow your business for many years.”
The new CI members are:
- Audio Video Specialist, Hattiesburg, Miss.
- Visual Concepts, Nashville
- Systems Design & Integration, Needham, Mass.
- Visions Audio Video, Moorpark, Calif.
- Intuitive AV, Woodstock, Ga.
- Realm, Norwalk, Conn.
- AIC, Bluffton, S.C.
In other ProSource news, the $6 billion CE and specialty retail merchandising co-op presented a ProSource Mark of Excellence Award to Sound United, an industry-leading audio vendor, on the floor of last month’s CEDIA Expo show. The company, which was recently acquired by medical technology company Masimo, is parent to the popular Denon, Marantz, Polk, Definitive Technology and Boston Acoustic brands.
The award — and the champagne toast at which it was presented — marked over 20 years of partnership between the two organizations.
“Partnerships with our vendors are the foundation of success at ProSource,” Pearce said. “[Sales VP] Kevin Zarow and the Sound United team’s commitment to [helping] our members grow the important audio category is impressive and appreciated. We are proud to welcome them into an exclusive group of vendor partners that have received the Mark of Excellence Award.”
