Tech affiliate expands staff, hosts CEDIA event

By YSN Staff

The dog days of summer are already long past for ProSource, which is busy getting into the swing of things for fall.

Topping the autumn agenda for BrandSource’s A/V and custom integration affiliate are two new staff appointments and a special presentation at CEDIA Expo 2022, this week’s big residential CE show in Dallas.

Heidi Gunderson

Joining the ProSource ranks as director of marketing and events is Heidi Gunderson, who comes to the specialty tech group by way of the wireless industry. There, she earned her stripes as a merchandising and marketing manager, building vendor relationships, executing effective marketing programs and designing and implementing high-profile industry events.

Gunderson is bringing those same skills to ProSource, where she will clearly convey the group’s vendor promotions, growth strategies and exclusive program benefits to its members through cross-platform marketing plans that leverage multiple social and traditional channels.

“I am excited to welcome Heidi to the ProSource team,” said ProSource President Jim Pearse. “She will help evolve ProSource marketing to allow members to easily and effectively understand the tools and programs that will help them grow their businesses.”

“I am excited to join the ProSource family and to support the members with marketing and event support,” the Seattle-based Gunderson said.

Gunderson will be formally introduced to the group’s members and vendor partners this week at CEDIA Expo 2022, which is being held this year at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. There, ProSource will also present Masimo’s Sound United subsidiary, an industry-leading audio resource, with a Mark of Excellence Award. The ceremony will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at the vendor’s booth, #12009, at 9:15 a.m. CST.

Carrie Fabrick

ProSource’s other new appointment is Carrie Fabrick, who assumes the post of North Central district manager. In her new role, she will provide group support to members in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Fabrick is experienced in the CE sector, having previously worked with ProSource member Xtend Technologies, and brings a strong leadership, management and project management perspective to the position, ProSource said.

“One of the unique strengths of the ProSource organization is the field management team of district managers,” said Tim Bashford, the group’s senior director of sales. “We are delighted to welcome Carrie to our team with her high energy and professional track record of success.”

Said Fabrick, “I look forward to seeing where my skills can impact our team as we continue to thrive towards greatness and push to continue to be the best within all areas in the industry.”

With annual sales of more than $6 billion, ProSource is the largest specialty and consumer-electronics merchandising group in the U.S., representing more than 600 custom integrators and specialty retailers across the country. Like its BrandSource affiliate, ProSource is a cooperative, member-governed, not-for-profit group that leverages its buying power to negotiate stronger programs with manufacturers and help independent dealers remain competitive.
