BrandSource hopes to pack 500 “Sweet Case” bags for the children of Together We Rise.
Convention attendees can do something sweet for foster kids

BrandSource members and vendors will have a chance put some sweat equity behind the group’s charity partner Together We Rise (TWR) at next week’s Convention 2022.
The support service, which provides comfort, resources and even college educations to tens of thousands of kids in the foster care system, will be on hand to help attendees lend a hand by filling 500 duffle bags with playthings and essentials.
According to TWR, children between families are typically given trash bags with which to pack their belongings, making them feel equally “disposable” during one of the most trying moments of their young lives. To help ease their distress, Convention attendees can volunteer to stuff the blue duffle bags, or “Sweet Cases,” with provided teddy bears, blankets, crayons, coloring books and hygiene kits, for immediate distribution to TWR clients.
The group’s goal is to build 500 Sweet Cases, and all are welcome to pitch in. The bag-building event will be held this Sunday night during the Convention Welcome Reception, set for 7 – 9 p.m. at the Gaylord Texan’s Glass Cactus nightclub and bar, with music provided by the hard-hitting country rock band Big City Outlaws.
So pack your bags for Convention and prepare to pack some more on Sunday!
