There’s plenty of hubbub around AVB’s digital interface

In case you haven’t noticed, Hub, AVB’s proprietary commerce platform, is suddenly abuzz with new abilities.

According to Kate Morris, GM of product at AVB Marketing (AVBM), a major mid-May release has brought a flurry of new features to the digital interface, which ties together members’ POS systems, Alta website, LINQ merchandising platform, digital price tags, in-store KIOSQs, and other retail tools.

The latest enhancements include SMS and email capabilities that allow members to text local customers directly from Hub with quotes or any other pertinent information, Morris said. Most email addresses can also be integrated into the platform, which can save email replies from any device and notify users when customers respond.

Also new is an improved filtering function that allows members to further customize how product data appears in the grid using their admin tool. Users can search by very specific product attributes like price and size, and screen for items that are in stock or on promotion, while dealers can control popular views with a single click, including “In Stock” and “Customer view,” which hides proprietary information from shoppers.

Each of the new features is live and ready to use, Morris said, and the AVBM team is already readying the next Hub upgrade that adds chat.
