Although some of those who attended Summit 2022 may have lost a few bucks on the casino floor, there were plenty of others who went home big winners.

Indeed, this month’s show was jam-packed with sweepstakes, prizes, contests, and giveaways by exhibitors as well as AVB. Let’s see who drew the winning hands at the Las Vegas event.

First up was the BrandSource Check-In Challenge, where the BrandSource Region with the most check-ins at registration receives $1,000 toward its summer meeting. The big winner was the North Atlantic Region with 100 percent attendance at Summit!

In addition, members who checked in early were entered into a drawing for two tickets to a Vegas show, courtesy of Serta/Beautyrest. The winners were Jason Horst of Famous Tate and Lisa Tautz of Stebbins Appliance.

Speaking of Serta, the mattress maker gave away a $20,000 “Trip of a Lifetime,” with a choice of an African Safari, a Luxury Ski Trip, an Exclusive Bahamas Getaway, or a Super Bowl Experience. And the big winner was… Julie Abbey of Appliance Center Mattress and Furniture.

In addition, Serta awarded two lucky winners the choice of a 2022 Beautyrest Black or new Serta Arctic mattress package, valued at $5,500. The winners were Eric Bennett of Roby’s Furniture and Jill Pyle of Bob’s Appliance Center.

Julie Abbey is congratulated by Gary Melder and James Moquin of Serta Simmons Bedding for winning the “Trip of a Lifetime” at Summit. Word at the show was that Abbey was leaning towards the Bahamas option.

James Moquin, a Senior Director of Sales for Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB), was really excited about the show and the giveaway, noting that “The energy in the room was so fantastic. We had hundreds of people gathered around and having Julie win was incredible.  She is a longtime supporter of Serta Simmons Bedding, and she was so excited to win.”

Whirlpool joined the party by offering the “Ultimate Tailgating Package Giveaway,” which included a 65-inch Sony TV; a 32GB, 4K Apple TV streaming media box; a Traeger grill with accessories; a custom subscription to the Butcher Box meat delivery service; and a Yeti Hopper Flip 12 portable cooler.

Whirlpool winner Cameron Illingworth of Urners with his “Ultimate Tailgating Package.

BrandSource member Cameron Illingworth, representing Urners in Bakersfield, Calif., was the lucky winner. “Big thank you to Whirlpool!” he remarked. “I’m looking forward to putting this tailgater package to good use.”

The sports theme extended to the Electrolux booth, where authorized dealers entered a Hole in One drawing for prizes ranging from $500 in show cash to $5,000 toward a digital campaign.

Electrolux’s lucky winners included Bill Shuee of Stucky’s, who received $1,000 in Fast Cash, while Sonos Move Speakers were awarded to Phyllis Livingood of Livingoods; Jared Powell of Rice’s AppliancePete Van Dyke of Van Dyke Appliance; and Mark Stephens of C Stephens Appliances.

Electronic prizes were also aplenty at the Tempur Sealy booth, where placing orders entered attendees in a tech drawing for multiple devices, including a pair of Apple AirPods Max; an Oculus VR set; a Google Nest thermostat; and a Roomba robotic vacuum. Winners there included Jeff Willis of Famous Tate; Coy Miller of The Sleep Shop; and Chuck Bensons of Bensons Appliance Center.

Elsewhere, Samsung gave away a robotic vacuum of its own design — the Jet Bot— to Jerry Thacker of Quest4Electronics, along with a Jet 70 cordless vac and Clean Station that went to Kent Schloneger of Bennet’s Appliance Centers.

Danby also joined the party with a $1,800 Party Package that included the company’s 38-bottle wine cooler; 21-inch, 5.4-cubic-foot-capacity Kegerator; and 2-pound tabletop ice maker. The winner of the Danby party package was Brandie Killian of John Plyler Home Center.

Not to be outdone, GE Appliances held a “TikTok Challenge,” giving members a chance to earn up to $500 in GEA digital marketing by shooting top video clips. BrandSource dealers had fun with the video challenge and a chance to earn the prizes. Stay tuned for a YSN update featuring the winners and their clips!

Kip Zent of Jensen Akins stops by the YSN booth to put his Plinko skills to the test.

Last but not least, YourSource News invited all takers to the Show Central booth to try their hand at Jumbo Plinko. Prizes, and their new owners, included:
