BrandSource vendor partner Miele has plenty to crow about.

The premium appliance maker was honored at this month’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) for its new Generation 7000 Artline 30-inch Combi-Steam Oven. Miele’s most powerful combi-steam oven to date, the product received a coveted Best of KBIS award from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and shelter magazine publisher Luxe Interiors + Design.

“Generation 7000 is the largest launch in Miele USA’s history, so for our new Combi-Steam Oven to be recognized as ‘Best in Show’ at KBIS by the leaders in our industry is such an incredible honor,” said marketing VP Kelly Lam. “We have elevated the overall combination steam oven category by giving our customers unprecedented intuitive technology, added convenience and greater flexibility to deliver best quality cooking and gourmet results in their own kitchens.”

Indeed, the Generation 7000 features Miele’s new Mix & Match function, which allows users to cook or reheat any combination of foods, such as burgers and fries, by using the oven’s control panel or selecting the individual items from the Miele app. There are limitless automatic programs for meats, vegetables, and grains, along with step-by-step instructions for setting custom temperature, time, and cooking methods for everything from simple side dishes to gourmet meals.

To achieve precision results, the oven uses TwinPower convection fans and DualSteam technology with a 3.3 kW external steam generator. Temperatures are so uniform that settings can be made in one-degree increments, which even allows for sous vide cooking. And by introducing moisture into the cooking process, the oven creates an environment that is ideal for both browning and searing meats, as well as baking crusty, yet moist breads.

Outside, a pioneering new handless design, available in graphite gray, gives the 7000 collection a unique, sleek, and unobtrusive look, Miele said.

“We are incredibly proud to have been recognized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association,” added president/CEO Jan Heck. “Winning ‘Best in Show’ is truly a result of our entire team’s collaboration. We appreciate all of the hard work that went into the selection process; there were many notable entries and finalists across the industry.”

The Generation 7000 Combi-Steam Ovens are priced to range from $4,099 to $7,099 retail and will begin shipping in the second quarter.
