AVB’s in-house financing arm expands supplier roster

BrandSource Financial (BSF), the group’s member-owned finance company, has announced another addition to its growing list of more than 60 approved suppliers.
Joining the BSF roster just ahead of Summit 2022 is Thor Kitchen, a BrandSource partner renowned for its competitively priced premium appliances. Effective immediately, inventory financing for Thor’s product line through BSF will be available to BrandSource members in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.
The announcement was made earlier this week by Christine Moore, BSF’s General Manager. BrandSource members who currently utilize the financing program can now add Thor’s sought-after assortment to their active BSF accounts, she noted, while those who’ve yet to participate might now consider applying for the in-house financing plan.
“We’re excited about adding Thor Kitchen as our newest supplier, which gives our Western U.S. dealers another well-known and high-quality appliance option to offer to their customers,” Moore said. “And the more brands members finance through BSF, the more it drives their annual cash distributions. Definitely a win-win!”
BSF recently announced a 50-basis-point payout to participating members for the preceding 12 months, an increase of 25 percent from the prior year. That means dealers get back $500 for every $100,000 in annual volume financed through BSF.

The annual cash distributions, along with no-interest inventory financing, are just two of the benefits of member ownership of BrandSource’s floor-planning arm. Dealers also enjoy extended terms with BSF and can layer in additional vendor financing plans as well.
Thor, based in Los Angeles, has established an industrywide reputation for crafting sleek, commercial-look kitchen appliances at affordable prices. Its product line includes dual-fuel ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and ventilation hoods, as well as a just-added microwave drawer.

The company recently transitioned to a direct-to-dealer distribution model in key Western markets, giving independent Southwest and West Coast appliance dealers direct access to inventory and enhanced marketing support — and now inventory financing through BSF.
