Thor Kitchen Goes Direct for Western U.S. Dealers

Thor’s line of premium-grade but competitively priced kitchen appliances is now available direct to Western U.S. dealers.

Sidesteps two-step distribution throughout the Southwest and West Coast

BrandSource vendor partner Thor Kitchen has transitioned to a direct-to-dealer distribution model in key Western U.S. markets.

Beginning this month, independent appliance dealers in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oregon will have direct access to inventory and “enhanced marketing support” through the company’s factory-authorized sales team, Thor Marketing Group.

The six-year-old appliance upstart, which plays off its Norse-inspired name with the tagline “Cook like a god,” has quickly established a reputation for designing sleek, pro-style products that can be sold at a practical price point.

“In less than a decade, Thor Kitchen has developed into a leading brand of affordable, professional-style kitchen appliances thanks to the close collaboration of our trusted network of dealer partners,” said managing director Kyle You. “We are excited to make this important change to our distribution channels and to enlist Thor Marketing Group’s trusted, seasoned professionals to exclusively support our [Western] dealer partners.”

The changeover will allow independent dealers to tap into what Thor Marketing president Dirk Leslie described as “a more robust inventory than many other appliance suppliers,” and lead times that are among the shortest for professional appliances.

“Thor Kitchen has done a great job staying ahead of the many challenges facing the appliance industry,” Leslie said.

Thor said its Marketing Group will work directly with local dealers throughout the West to fulfill inventory requests; provide marketing assets such as high-resolution product photography; distribute information on programming offers including flooring terms; and develop discount programs for builders, designers and other trade professionals.
