BrandSource vendor partner Thor Kitchen is coming into the fourth quarter packing its first electric range.
The premium appliance upstart, known for its sleek, pro-style products and practical pricing, has introduced a 24-inch Professional Electric Range to juice up customers’ holiday kitchens.
The unit (model HRE2401) features a stainless-steel exterior, a spacious 3.73 cubic-foot oven cavity, and a true convection fan that blows heat from an 800-watt heating element. Up top, the radiant glass cooktop features four elements ranging from a single 1,200-watt coil to a 2,200-watt dual heating element, and the oven can be paired with a companion 24-inch Professional Range Hood offering 600 CFM of suction and a quiet, three-speed fan that maxes out at a soft 60 decibels.
Thor’s managing director Kyle You described the kitchen pair as a timely choice for small-home dwellers. “The growing trend of downsizing and living large in a small space shouldn’t mean you have to forgo sleek professional appliances in your kitchen, and we are stepping up to meet that need,” You said. “At 24 inches, our new Professional Electric Range and Range Hood make the most of limited space while also offering powerful features and functionality for mastering every meal.”
The Los Angeles-based company also pointed to increased demand for electric ranges as major cities enact measure to transition away from natural gas. Some 75 million U.S. households presently use electric ranges for cooking, Thor noted, which are 85 percent more energy efficient than gas ranges.
The company, which plays off its Norse-inspired name with the tagline “Cook like a god,” describes its high-performance products as pleasing to the eye, appetite, and pocketbook. For more information, visit thorkitchen.com or the BrandSource Backroom.
