BrandSource furniture dealers are urged to mark their calendars for two must-see webinars next week.

The online events, featuring  Ashley Furniture CEO Todd Wanek and industry analyst Jerry Epperson, are expected to be “profound for planning the fourth quarter,” advised AVB’s home furnishings merchandising director Seth Weisblatt.

First up is Epperson, on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m. EST. The Mann, Armistead & Epperson partner will join the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association for a deep dive into the state of the industry, tackling such topics as when the supply chain disruptions will ease; which brands and retailers could be in for even tougher times; and whether furniture shows will return to their pre-pandemic peaks. Wanek follows on Thursday (Sept. 7) at 3:00 p.m. EST, in a one-hour furniture forecast hosted by BrandSource partner Home Furnishings Association (HFA). Together with HFA CEO Mark Schumacher, Wanek will leverage his global perspective to provide a supply chain assessment for the fourth quarter and 2022 for an industry that’s been battered by container shortages, limited freight capacity, and pandemic-related government restrictions.
