Dugan Sales & Service of Watertown, S.D., was named the 2021 BrandSource Dealer of the Year for the Great Plains Region at last month’s Convention21 in Nashville.
Owner Jeremy McBurney along with Sioux Falls General Manager Chris VanderWal was honored at the group’s annual awards ceremony, which was a highlight of the four-day meeting and product expo.
Dugan Sales & Service has been serving the Watertown community since 1911, first as a farm implement company and then, following a visit from Maytag founder Fred Maytag, as an appliance sales and servicing dealer. Under the leadership of its fourth-generation owners, the family business has expanded within the Watertown market and beyond, having recently opened a second location in Sioux Falls.
By placing its customers first, Dugan Sales & Service has been able to grow and prosper for over a century. As McBurney noted, “The spirit of service before, during and after the sale is still very much alive with Dugan Sales & Service, and we look forward to our next 110 years.”
He added that AVB/BrandSource’s member-first focus, the fellowship it fosters between dealers, and its invaluable support throughout the pandemic “makes it so easy to continuously and enthusiastically enjoy our membership.”
The BrandSource Dealer of the Year awards are presented annually to members who have shown their continued support of BrandSource and its direct suppliers. Dealers of the Year must demonstrate that support by attending regional meetings as well as national events such as the Convention and BrandSource Summit.
Honorees were selected by the membership within each of the organization’s 14 Regions and were saluted for their commitment to excellence in the retail industry and to their fellow BrandSource dealers.
