Two of BrandSource’s own — Louisiana’s Northeast Appliance Sales & Service and Village Home Stores in Genesco, Ill. — have copped top honors in the Most Professional Servicers (MPS) competition, held each year by the United Appliance Servicers Association (UASA).
UASA, a BrandSource partner and one of the nation’s principal appliance repair organizations, describes the contest as the largest of its kind, and confers recipients with what is considered the most coveted professional award in the appliance service trade.
Three-year-old Northeast Appliance, a 2020 runner up, took first place this year among businesses with between three and seven service techs. Fellow BrandSource member Village Home Stores won top honors among servicing companies with one to two technicians. Each was selected from a trio of finalists, grouped by staff size, that were chosen by a panel of independent judges and voted on by UASA members across the country.
MPS nominees exhibit all the best qualities of a high-quality appliance repair company, the trade group said, and were judged on the presentation of their business, including technician uniform, service vehicle, company logo and online presence. The winners were announced last month during a live UASA virtual happy hour.
“I am so proud of the team at Village Home Stores for their dedication to providing a high level of service to our customers,” co-owner Rob Ries told the local Geneseo Republic newspaper. “Our appliance service team including our technicians, installers, customer service representatives and service administrator all do an amazing job of always putting the customer first and going above and beyond to handle their service needs.”
In an MPS video, Northeast Appliance co-owner Bambi Watson said “Our customers have come to know us as a company that is full of honesty, integrity and reliability. Our customers know that when they call Northeast Appliance to come out and service any of their appliances, that not only will they be serviced, but they will also have an incredible, customer-based experience where they know that they can call us at any time, and we’ll come out quickly to take care of all their appliance needs.”
Besides being voted Most Professional Servicers, both BrandSource members were awarded $500 cash prizes, one free year of UASA membership, plus winner’s badges and other marketing support to help tout their achievements
