Mega Group Guides Members to a Brand Awakening

With much of the nation gripped by severe winter weather, the last thing on our minds might be our neighbors to the frigid North.

But things are heating up in Canada for Mega Group, BrandSource’s north-of-the-border partner. That’s because our Canadian cousins have recently released the Mega Selling Guide, an exclusive entrée to the more than 440 furniture, appliance, mattress and consumer tech vendors who supply Mega’s 700-plus member dealers.

Available in print and digital versions, the 100-page Guide was designed to pair the best vendors to the right retailers, and does so with brand breakdowns, expert content, vendor line listings and limited-time offers. Mega describes the print edition as a handy and impactful workplace reference, while the online Guide, which is available to members and non-members alike, is a “living” document that will be updated regularly with new vendor listings and virtual buy fairs.

Mega CEO Kim Yost said the group is “excited to be providing a new collaborative advantage to our industry. Vendors can bring their selling DNA and secret sauce to retailers, who now have a quick and profitable means to answer the needs of their consumers. We’re simply delivering on our promise by ‘Making Independent Retailers Stronger.’”

Michael Vancura, Mega’s Executive VP, Merchandising and Retail Systems, added that the Guide is particularly timely amid the pandemic. “In these challenging times, Mega Group’s initiative helps to overcome the distancing and lack of personal contact between buyers and sellers,” he said. “We are very happy with the reaction and support of our vendor partners towards this initiative.”

The online version of the Mega Selling Guide is available here, and a video overview produced by AVB Marketing under Creative Director Mark Baird can be seen here.
