BrandSource member Don’s Appliances went outside the industry to find its new vice president of sales, Tim Gales.
Gales joins the Pittsburgh chain from the medical device sector, where he most recently served as director of North America sales for dental equipment manufacturer Dentsply Sirona. There, he led an endodontics team of seven regional managers and 67 outside territory managers that generated over $150 million in annual revenue.
“With our continued growth in the region, we wanted a proven sales leader to navigate us into the future,” explained Don’s Appliances principal Tim Hillebrand. “Gales has the background to do this, with a proven record of leading large sales forces in multiple locations and territories, and goal- and KPI-focused performance in past successes.”
In his new role, Gales will oversee the sales function for the 10-showroom chain, which provides delivery, installation and repair services and operates a Watersource plumbing division for kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
Gales, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (BSBA) from Duquesne University, “will play a key role in providing and implementing high-quality solutions that match Don’s Appliances’ mission and vision for the future,” added HR director Nicole Laudato.
