BrandSource furniture-care partner Guardsman has some important news to share in the fight against COVID-19.
The company’s MonoFoil D/MicroGold surface disinfectant has recently been added to the EPA’s “List N,” which is reserved for products with a proven effectiveness against coronavirus.
The hospital-grade formulation can be sprayed directly on product displays and other high-touch areas within showrooms, where its microscopic spikes kill SARS-CoV-2 in three minutes on hard surfaces and other viruses and bacteria on contact. The product is safe for wood, cotton, nylon, polyester, metal, ceramic, glass and stone, and remains effective for up to six weeks thanks to a molecular bonding technology that forms an active barrier against microbes.
The solution also eliminates mold, mildew and odors, and since its introduction last summer has been employed by hospitals, resorts and professional sports teams including the MGM Grand, the New York Yankees and The Walt Disney Company.
“This product is mind blowing,” said Dan Miller, a regional sales manager for Guardsman. “It’s unlike any other disinfectant on the market and is exactly what retailers and consumers are looking for.”
Indeed, MonoFoil D/MicroGold is available in 1-, 5- and 55-gallon quantities for commercial use and in 16-ounce bottles for sale to customers. The bottles wholesale for $7.99 each for a case of 12 and can retail for $14.99, representing a “great margin opportunity,” Miller said.
