BrandSource members were well represented in a recent report on the e-commerce acumen of the nation’s largest furniture retailers.
Members cited in the “Top 100 USA Furniture Retailers E-Commerce Merchandising” report, produced by 3D product visualization provider Cylindo, included American Signature, Big Sandy Superstore, Gardner-White Furniture, Miskelly Furniture and Walker Furniture & Mattress, most of whom employ AVB’s website design and e-commerce platform.
The retailers were rated on a host of website features that Cylindo considers essential for effective online selling, including product information, product page load speed, room vignettes, user reviews, checkout experience and augmented reality (AR).
Among the BrandSource contingent, American Signature received exceptionally high marks, with Cylindo citing its high-quality product visuals, wealth of product information and blazing-fast load speeds. Those attributes helped placed it within the top tier of the rankings, just behind national chains La-Z-Boy and Pottery Barn.
Cylindo stressed that providing a rich online experience is more critical than ever as furniture shopping increasingly shifts online during the health crisis. Indeed, Miskelly specifically credited AVB Marketing’s e-commerce platform for maintaining brisk sales during a mandatory showroom shutdown last spring.

“If there’s one thing you should get out of this report,” Cylindo said, “it’s this: furniture retailers that adopt strategies to improve their online shopping experience are the ones that will be ready to respond to the behavioral change we’re witnessing on a global level.”
