Longtime Whirlpool and Maytag sales executive Mark Hecht has announced his retirement and will be stepping down from his post at the end of the month.
Hecht, a darling of the independent dealer channel, has logged 42 years in the appliance industry beginning in 1978 at Maytag, where he capped his career there as Director. Following the company’s acquisition by Whirlpool in 2006, he transitioned to the parent brand where he variously held the titles of Buying Group Director and Sales Executive.
Hecht has been a diligent advocate of independent retail and was a fixture at BrandSource Conventions, Summits and Maytag University events. His successor has not yet been announced.
