GE Appliances has appointed Julie Burns Executive Director of the company’s super-premium Monogram brand.
Burns brings an extensive background in luxury marketing and brand development, including stints at L’Oreal, Hilton and most recently Able, a global ethical women’s fashion lifestyle brand, where she was Marketing & Sales VP.
In her new role at GE she will lead the Monogram team, which encompasses the brand’s Design and Experience Centers and its Designer Engagement Leaders. She will also be responsible for developing, implementing and executing brand strategies and initiatives, and will help launch GE’s forthcoming Monogram campaign, “The Mark of Luxury You Can See and Feel.”
“Julie’s expertise in luxury markets and brands, her experience in leading large organizations, and her demonstrated ability to create modern omni-channel marketing strategies including CRM, loyalty and e-commerce make her uniquely qualified and a fantastic addition to our leadership team,” said Mary Putman, GE Appliances’ VP, Marketing & Brand.
Burns’ appointment continues GE’s recent history of hiring experienced packaged goods executives for its top marketing posts, including Putman and Chief Marketing Officer Rick Hasselbeck, who both enjoyed long careers at Procter & Gamble.
