BrandSource partner Salesforce, the customer service software company, will begin offering $10,000 grants to small businesses throughout the U.S. this month.
The program, Salesforce Care Small Business Grants, was created to provide local companies with much needed capital to help them weather the health crisis. Salesforce is funding the effort with a $5 million financial commitment.
BrandSource members can sign up here to receive details about the program and to be notified when the application process opens.
“The COVID-19 global crisis has hit small businesses especially hard,” said Meredith Schmidt, Salesforce’s Executive VP/CEO of Essentials and SMB. “They are the heart of our communities and we care deeply about the challenges they are facing … We want to ensure the small businesses near and dear to our hearts have a chance to get through this.”
The grants can be used to replenish materials, pay salaries or adjust company business models to overcome the challenges of the times, she said.
In addition, Salesforce is making its two of its cloud-based software suites available at no charge to help businesses support their customers remotely. The programs are Salesforce Essentials, an out-of-the-box customer relationship (CRM) tool for small businesses, and Tableau, a tool to help organizations make data-driven decisions.
The software, along with other complimentary resources including articles, webinars, guides and technical support, can be found on the company’s dedicated Salesforce Care page.
