BrandSource furniture dealers have received a reprieve from Leather Italia USA, while Ashley said a state-mandated shutdown of its Pennsylvania facility won’t impact production.
First Leather Italia: In an update on purchases made at Summit 2020, the vendor is extending all standard payment terms from NET30 to NET60, effective March 20. The move was made in support of the company’s retailer partners during the public health crisis, the vendor said.
As for Ashley, CEO Todd Wanek told FurnitureToday that despite a shutdown of its Leesport, Pa., production and distribution center, the company is “continuing to take orders and continuing to ship.” As Wanek explained, “We are redeploying to our other manufacturing and distribution facilities and maintaining business as usual.”
