In a special “Need to Know” report by TWICE Magazine, AVB’s Vice President of Merchandising Chad Evans joins GE Appliances and LG Electronics in assessing the supply chain situation, and provides a mid-term forecast for furniture, appliance and consumer tech shipments.
“Availability to this point has been OK,” Evans observed, “but there is some concern in certain categories where the main guts of the unit, or may even the unit itself, is coming directly from China. Some manufacturers have gotten a lot less promotional and have taken certain items off the promo roadmaps because there is concern that there will be lack of availability as we move into the second quarter.”
