AVB Stressing Need for E-Commerce Commitment

As more and more consumers shelter in place, either by government edict or personal concern, AVB is advising all members to lean into their e-commerce capabilities to maintain sales momentum — and is urging those without transactional functionality to get it pronto.

“Our main goal is to get our dealers on fully transactional websites ASAP,” said Chad Evans, AVB’s Vice President of Merchandising, and to merchandise those sites effectively so customers can readily find in-stock and heavily promoted products.

To that end, AVB is working closely with vendors to identify best-selling items and SKUs that members are most likely to have on hand, Evans said. He added that AVB will help drive the e-commerce initiative with bi-weekly webinars featuring question-and-answer chats each Tuesday and Thursday, with dates and times to be announced.
