It’s official: GE Appliances has hitched its faster-than-light-speed wagon to the next installment in the Star Wars saga: “The Rise of Skywalker,” which hits theaters Dec. 20.
The promotional tie-in, which is aimed at the company’s GE Profile line, provides “special film engagement opportunities” with appliance dealers around the country, the vendor said, as well as a national advertising spot featuring the theme “The Force of Innovation.”
The tagline also appears in a new manufacturer’s rebate, running this month through the end of January. GE is offering up to $2,000 back in the form of a prepaid Visa card on the purchase of four or more eligible GE Profile models from authorized dealers. Here’s how the offer breaks down:
$400 – Buy 4 eligible appliances
$500 – Buy 5 eligible appliances
$750 – Buy 6 eligible appliances
There’s also an added bonus for any of these categories:
$300 – Built-in wall oven
$200 – Cooktop
$750 – Built-in refrigerator
GE joins seven other international brands in cross-promoting with the sci-fi flick, including Bose, Dannon, General Mills, McDonald’s, Porsche, Samsung Galaxy and United Airlines.
