Bosch Marks Monumental Year of Kitchen Innovation

By Alan Wolf

From its legendary quiet dishwashers to its award-winning cooking products, Bosch home appliances are conceived from deep consumer insights and built with an obsession for quality and detail – down to the feel of an oven handle.

This year Bosch has taken its pursuit of simple solutions and timeless but thoughtful design to even greater heights with its all-new counter depth French Door refrigerator; its CrystalDry ultra-drying dishwashers; a sleek, new finish option for its cooking collection; and an expansion of its Home Connect smart-appliance platform.

Engineered from the ground up, the bottom-mount refrigerator features an all-new interior design and a four-point FarmFresh System that includes the first automatic temperature and humidity control drawer in the industry. Shipping this summer, the refrigerator is the first step in a multi-year rollout representing the broadest refrigeration portfolio redesign in Bosch’s U.S. history.

Meanwhile, Bosch’s CrystalDry technology addresses a common complaint among consumers: wet dishes at the end of a dishwasher cycle. Building upon its legacy of class-leading quiet dishwashers, CrystalDry provides impeccable drying results, even on plastics, prompting the company to cast the new feature as “the pinnacle of Bosch dishwasher innovation.”

On the cooking front, Bosch has expanded its award-winning line with a nod to more polished aesthetics while still maintaining its power and functionality. To that end, its gas, induction and electric slide-in ranges have joined its Black Stainless Steel Kitchen Suite, and its induction cooktops, wall ovens and pyramid chimney hoods have been infused with Home Connect capabilities. These smart functions include status updates, service solutions, recipe searches and internal temperature checks of food – all performed remotely from a mobile device.

“Bosch has always believed quality product innovations can truly enhance everyday life,” said Anja Prescher, Bosch’s Director of Brand Marketing. “This relentless commitment has helped us change expectations of what a major appliance – from the dishwasher to a cooktop – can do.”

Whether it’s making it easier to store and preserve fresh ingredients, or simplifying the cooking process and post-meal cleanup, Bosch is continuing its quest to simplify life in the home with a foundation of quality and reliability at the core.
